Stowe House and National Trust volunteers and staff enjoyed a delightful afternoon together at the Stowe Christmas lunch in the State Music Room here in the House. Before the lunch we had a coffee morning in the State Drawing Room where we rounded off the year, looked back at what we had all achieved and gave out 1 year service awards to some of our newer members of the team.

We enjoyed drinks in the Marble Saloon where we met our colleagues from the National Trust before moving into the wonderful setting of the State Music Room for our extremely enjoyable Christmas Lunch.

It was also an opportunity for volunteers from the House and National Trust Stowe to catch up and find out what we have been up to this year. Some lovely stories of Stowe were swapped over the dinner table including some a fascinating in site into the National Trust's first days at Stowe. We hear there were a lot of brambles!
