Act of Remembrance Service

The School community gathered together in the Upper Quad for the Act of Remembrance Service. Joined by Housian Lt Cdr Colin Harris (1940-45), parents and members of the Brackley Community Dementia-friendly Choir, staff and pupils paid their respects to those who served and supported their country and made the ultimate sacrifice.

Lt Cdr Colin Harris read The Naval Prayer, Mr Gordon Vincent read in Flanders Fields, Head Prefects Lewis and Sophie read out the names of Housians who lost their lives in The Great War and World War II, pupils with military connections read from Matthew, Mr James Martin read For the Fallen, Mr Laurie Lee played The Last Post, Ms Antonia Lee read Kohima epitaph and the community sang This Remembrance Day accompanied by staff and pupil musicians.

We will remember them.
