In Year 1, the children are encouraged to set their own targets to start to become more reflective learners and develop as rounded members of the school community.
We build upon the thematic approach of Nursery and Reception as the curriculum broadens, and subjects such as science begin to establish a stronger identity. As children settle into their stride, we celebrate and nurture their individual interests and strengths with increased opportunities for self-expression. We also introduce weekly swimming lessons for Year 1.
