Winchester House School is a fully co-educational nursery, pre-prep and preparatory school offering outstanding education to children aged 3-13 with day, occasional and weekly-boarding available.
The nursery/pre-prep school is located within the school grounds in delightful self contained classrooms. It provides a safe and and exciting place for a child to start, while the preparatory school offers day and boarding options, high academic standards and a vast range of sports, music, hobbies and activities.
The heart of the school is situated in the Manor House, an attractive building dating from the early 1800s. Modern classroom and facilities surround this including 3 separate science laboratories and full ICT Suite. Specialist teaching starts in Reception with music, sport and ICT and from Year 5, all classes are taught by specialist subject teachers. Tutor groups are no larger than 13 children.
The School sits on a total of 18 acres including a wide range of sports pitches, a newly built AstroTurf, swimming pool and gardens. We also have our very own ‘Secret Garden’ where you can find the outdoor classroom and where Gardening Club meet, nursery enjoy weekly ‘Going wild’ sessions and parents come for ‘Dads and Den’ evenings.
WHS is located in the heart of Brackley, an attractive market town, approx. 10 minutes from the M40 and easy reach of Banbury, Oxford and surrounding villages. There is a dedicated daily minibus service available stopping at 5 different locations.
