Robotics Round Up

Our Third and Fourth Form robotics teams attended a VEX VRC Regional Competition on Saturday 13 January in Chipping Campden, as part of their progress towards the National Finals in March. The Third Form team did well to finish Seventh in qualifying and Fourth in skills. We will wait to find out if their national skills ranking of 19th is enough to gain one of the remaining places at Nationals.  

Our Fourth Form team of Henry Anderson (Temple) and James Stratford (Walpole) dominated the regional competition, winning all their qualification matches and ranking First in skills. They then won all their playoff matches, walking away as Tournament and Skills Champions. The team have also entered an online coding skills challenge and are ranked First in the UK and 23rd in the World. This team and our Sixth Form team have already qualified for the National Finals in March, where they will compete for a World Finals place, which takes place in Dallas, Texas.
