Busy weekend for Old Stoic Golfers

The Society are fielding two teams this weekend. First Team Captain Haydn Brooks is joined by Sean Morris, David Johnstone, Charlie Gartside, Charlie Rotheroe and Peter Hale in the Grafton Morrish finals in Norfolk. Culford are first round opponents at 9.04am on Friday at Brancaster with Harrow or Lancing hopefully the afternoon opposition.

At Aldeburgh Jeremy Scowsill leads Ian Bendell, William Hill and Nigel Wright in the Dick Watson Trophy in which each player partners the other members of the team over the three rounds of foursomes.
 
Last week the Society played the School at Stoke Park courtesy of Old Stoic Chester King. The Old Stoic team of Charlie Gartside, Hugo Douglass, Stewart McNair, Jonny Rowe, Peter Simmons and Paul McSweeney managed a 1.5 to 1.5 draw. The School team showed great potential with Captain, Olly Clark, leading by example with the new School Professional/Master In Charge of Golf, Mr Hancox, securing the half in the bottom match.
