OS Corkscrew Wine Tasting with Michael Sager

Tuesday evening saw the long awaited return of the OS Corkscrew Club under the new leadership of James Sleater (Chatham 99) and Talulla Barrow (Lyttelton 07). The evening was a sell out, with 35 Old Stoics and guests eager to hear tips and advice from GQ’s Sommelier of the Year, Michael Sager.

The evening started with a glass of Cava, followed by tasting two reds and two whites, selected by Michael. He spoke at length about the merits of each wine and answered a great many questions raised by the guests.

The tasting took place at Cad and the Dandy, on Savile Row, a tailor’s shop owned by James Sleater (Chatham 99). I would like to thank all of his staff as well as his business partner, Ben Scholfield (Temple 99), for their help throughout the evening and for making us all feel so welcome.

James and Talulla are busy planning the next OS Corkscrew evening, which will take place in June. Details will be announced, as soon as they are confirmed.
