We have 5 fixtures in May and June, including two Centenary events, and extra players are needed for three of them.

If you want to play just contact the relevant Match or Meeting Manager detailed below, don't wait to be asked.

If you need more information contact me.

Spring Meeting at Woking 29th April:

Nick Luddington organised an excellent meeting at Woking. The trophy winners were: Nigel Stern Scratch Salver - Jean-Michel Hall (77),

Memorial Stableford Vase - David Ewbank (33), David Foster U30 Salver - Arthur Fenwicke-Clennell, Foursomes Celebration Tankards - Orlando McDonald- Buchanan & Arthur Fenwicke-Clennell.

Match v Canford at Sunningdale 30th April:

President Stewart McNair led his team to a drawn match thereby retaining the trophy won in 2022. There were wins for Stewart McNair/Nigel Randall and Peter Jarvis/Tony Edgerley while David Hinds/Brian Marcel and Jonny Rowe/Ben Dixey halved their matches. From all accounts this was a nail biting affair with David Julius/Greg Choyce and William Hill/James Clarke losing their matches by close margins This was an excellent start to the Society's Centenary Celebrations

Match v The Templars at Deal 20th May: 2 more players needed

Another Centenary celebration with the two largest Old Stoic Sport Societies competing on the fantastic Deal course over two rounds.

David Ewbank Captains the OSGS team and has already recruited Ben Wackett and Roddy Blackburne, with 2 more players needed. Tom Sleater leads the Templar's team. If you would like to play, contact David or Tom.

Grafton Morrish Qualifying at Worplesdon 21st May:

The Society will be looking to repeat the success of 2022 and qualify for the finals in October.

Jean-Michel Hall has Peter Jarvis, Charlie Rotheroe, Sean Morris and Ollie Clarke lined up to play with one player to be confirmed.

Match v Stowe at Stowe 27th May: 2 more players needed

As part of the Centenary Celebrations we want a good turn out. It's a 9.30am tee off and the match will be over 18 holes on the excellent 'New' course at the School. Picnic lunch on the South Front after the match. Contact match Manager, Peter Simmons if you are interested. Johnny Rowe, Peter Simmons, Peter Jarvis, James Gartside, Josh Wheeler and Will Berner are down to play but two more needed.

Alba Trophy at Woking 3rd June:

Jean-Michel Hall and Max Faulkner will be representing the Society in this prestigious 36 hole scratch foursomes event. We wish them well.

Jean-Michel is a previous winner with Haydn Brooks in 2014.
