Stowe pupils have shown just how well they have coped with the challenges arising from the pandemic, achieving an excellent set of GCSE results.  

50% of all grades were achieved at grades 7-9 and 31% of total grades achieved were at grade 8-9 or A*. Two pupils managed to achieve all grades at grades 8-9. 16 students scored at least eight grades at 8-9 or A* and a total of 37 pupils (a quarter of all pupils) achieved at least six grades at 8/A* or eight grades at grades 7-9.

Pupils have done extremely well in the sciences, with over 90% of grades in Biology and Chemistry and 76% in Physics awarded at grades 7-9. Latin and Ancient Greek results were strong, as were results in Art, DT, Further Maths, Geography, History and Sports Science, in all of which over half of all grades awarded were at grade 7 or above. Stowe also offers pupils the chance to study a broad range of languages and those pupils taking Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Russian all achieved grade 7 or above and most of these were at grade 8 or 9.

These grades are especially impressive given the disruptions these pupils have faced during their education due to the covid pandemic and the pupils and staff deserve to be warmly congratulated!
