Ginspired Dinner

On Thursday 22 June, a group of Old Stoics local to the area, met at The Fork Handles Restaurant in Petersfield.  The theme of the evening was gin inspired.
 
The evening began with the tasting of two gins provided by local distilleries, Silent Pool and Twisted Nose.  Representatives, rich in the knowledge of the gins were available throughout the evening, providing interesting facts and stories surrounding the history of both brands. 
 
After the tasting, the group were able to sit down and enjoy a six course dinner, with each course delicately infused with gin. From the starter to the desert, everything was presented exquisitely and tasted equally as delicious. The ambience of the restaurant only added to, what was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
 
Such was the success of the event, that most of the guests decided to catch later trains home and we have now set up, at their request, an email group to enable them to meet up again in future.
