Exeter Recent Leavers Drinks

We were delighted to gather of thirty Old Stoics currently studying at the University of Exeter for Drinks at the Black Horse last night. It was a relaxed and informal opportunity which provided the perfect opportunity for recent leavers to learn a little more about how the Old Stoic Society can support them once their time at Stowe has come to an end.

Chair of the OSS, Luke Chauveau (Cobham 87) and Vice Chair, Toby Gauvain (Temple 89), both came along and chatted with the group about how to make the most of the Society and all it has to offer. The Old Stoic Society laid on a free bar and sharing platters for everyone to enjoy and a vary jolly evening was had by all. There were calls for this event to be an annual occasion and, given the excellent turnout, we certainly intend for it to be so.

It was astounding to bring together so many recent leavers all studying at the same university, at the same time but we were reliably informed that even more Old Stoics are currently at Newcastle: over 40 to be precise! Our next Recent Leavers Drinks will be in Newcastle in October, followed by Edinburgh in November. All Old Stoics under the age of 23 are very welcome to attend these drinks (no matter where you are working or studying).
