Equestrian Success
4 February 2024
On Saturday 27 January, the Equestrian Team travelled to Berkshire College of Agriculture (BCA) for the NSEA Eventer Challenge and Showjumping competition. It was a busy day with pupils competing in four classes. The main success came in the 90cm Showjumping with Daisy Edwards (Fourth Form, Cheshire) taking First place, along with Lola Price (Third Form, Cheshire) taking Third and Honor Henry (Fifth Form, Stanhope) also in the top 10.
Sunday 4 February was a fantastic day for the Equestrian Team on a very windy day at Eland Lodge for the NSEA Eventer Challenge. Flora Edwards (Third Form, Queen’s), Bunny Hales and Anabelle Robbins (both Fourth Form, Nugent) started the day with Team Second in the 80cm class. This trio, along with Daisy Edwards (Fourth Form, Cheshire), then won First place in the 90cm class, with Anabelle Robbins winning First place individually as well. The girls all rode positively against strong competition, around a very technical course of both Show Jumps and Cross-Country fences. All four girls have qualified for the Championships at Hickstead in May.
Our next big event is the Bloxham Eventer Challenge Championships on Sunday 18 February - we wish all Stoics the best of luck!
