David Shepherd Lifetime Achievement Award

David Shepherd CBE (Chatham 49), was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's Daily Mirror / RSPCA Animal Hero Awards on Wednesday 7 September.  The award, described as the ultimate honour - recognised a lifetime commitment to wildlife and was presented by friend of DSWF, Downtown Abbey actor, Peter Egan who led the standing ovation saying:

"In this field we stand among giants, but this man, the recipient of this award, is a goliath."

In response David said: "I am overwhelmed and deeply honoured," and paid tribute to those who have supported DSWF and made the protection of endangered wildlife possible.
