Careers Talk: Katy Lewis

14 September 2016

Careers-Talk

On Tuesday 20 September we are welcoming Katy Lewis who is going to deliver a talk ‘Making it (or faking it) in a man’s world’ to the Sixth Form in the Ugland Auditorium at 5.45pm.

I find that lots of Stoics come to see me for advice because they are terrified about the future, they are scared because they have no idea about what they want to do when they leave Stowe.

I thought it might be useful to invite someone who felt just like this in the Sixth Form, someone who has done incredibly well because she has worked hard, shown determination and resilience, and has grasped opportunities that have opened up.

Katy has been incredibly successful in business, despite the fact that she didn’t have a clue what she wanted to do when she left school.

Katy works predominantly in the Car Industry and she spent time as the Training Programme Manager for Porsche in the UK, where one of her responsibilities was to be in charge of increasing profitability and sales to women through training. She also worked for Audi and VW, although she now runs her own company.

We look forward to welcoming Katy to Stowe.
