Life before Stowe
Born and brought up in Denmark, I taught at a Danish state school for six years before moving to England.
What do you enjoy most about your subject?
I like that Maths is so logical and that you can work out the solution to a problem without much information. I also love riddles and brain-teasers; they exercise your brain in a really interesting way.
What do you enjoy most about Stowe?
The beauty of the place of course, being part of such a great community and the quality of the teaching resources and what is available to us and the pupils.
What is your favourite Lesson?
I really enjoy the challenge of teaching Maths at A Level.
What do others say about you?
I think I am best known for my “Danishness” and I get a lot of teasing for that.
I am a Fourth Form Tutor, Treasurer of the Common Room, in charge of implementing the new Virtual Learning Environment for the Maths Department. I also coach basketball and volleyball, and do Duke of Edinburgh, but what I would really like to do is make handball a major sport - first at Stowe and then to the rest of the UK!
Handball (see above), film and music, my dog and my three lovely daughters…but not necessarily in that order!
