Life before Stowe

I studied physics at Durham before doing a church apprenticeship and teaching at a Grammar School

What do you enjoy most about your subject? 

Parallels in nature where seemingly unrelated areas of physics come together and the fact mathematics can explain the mysteries of nature (unreasonably!) effectively.

What do you enjoy most about Stowe? 

Staff and Stoics.

What is your favourite lesson? 

Wave-Particle Duality – it challenges every preconception students have about nature!
