Life before Stowe

Prior to Stowe I worked at several Grammar, International and UK boarding schools. As well as tutoring in Geneva, Switzerland and Hong Kong.

What do you enjoy most about your subject?

Projects gives you the opportunity to push your knowledge beyond your subject specification. I love being challenged and taught new things by my pupils.

What do you enjoy most about Stowe?

Stowe has such a breadth of opportunities available, it’s great to have the opportunity to coach and develop pupils who are interested in so many different things.

What is your favourite Lesson?

The brainstorming lesson at the beginning of an EPQ project. Hearing all the different areas of interest and how much pupils already know about specific topics is fascinating. Its great to see their passion and drive to develop their knowledge of a niche subject.

What do others say about you?

That I love teaching Science and I’m a BioMed nerd!

As well as leading Projects and teaching Physics I lead the PreMed course, which pushes students far beyond their comfort zone, using university level work and research to develop and shape our future medics.

Passions

I am keen, if haphazard, gardener and love racing vintage race cars.
