Life before Stowe:

I worked in the shipping industry right after University, but decided that it wasn't for me. Teaching had always played a part in my life, whether it was private tuition or after school clubs, volunteering at the local primary school, so now it has found its way back into my life.

What do you enjoy most about your subject:

I have always loved the literature involved in Classics, whether it's formative works on complicated topics or just plays with delightfully silly premises.

What do you enjoy most about Stowe:

I would say it's a tie between the huge amount of activities that one has the opportunity to join, and the countryside that is right out of the pastoral poetry of Virgil.

What is your favourite lesson:

Those where at the end, my pupils are asking if we can do more of what we've just done - I love to see pupils enjoying themselves while doing something educational.

What do others say about you:

"What year are you in?"

Other hats:

I'll be out at the hockey pitches most weeks coaching one of the Lower School teams.

Passions:

Sporting-wise I love any that you can find in pubs (Pool, Darts, Table-Football) as well as Snooker. Since moving to Stowe I have really been enjoying hikes and runs with my dog, Odie. Other than these, the standout would be board games!
