Therapy@Stowe

There is clear evidence that emotional well-being is a key indicator for academic achievement, and subsequently improved outcomes in later life.

As part of our wraparound pastoral care at Stowe, we have a team of therapists who support the well-being of our pupils and staff.

Research has shown that when someone is having a hard time, talking about what they’re going through is one of the most helpful things to be able to do.

"You've really helped me more than you know. Thank you so much." Stowe Pupil

Therapy provides a safe and confidential space for someone to talk, enabling them to work through issues and explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

Our team of therapists are all qualified in their field, following the standards and guidelines outlined by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).  www.bacp.co.uk

As registered members of the BACP, they undertake continual professional training to maintain the highest level and in line with current thinking.

At the same time, their substantial experience in working in the school environment gives them the knowledge and expertise to support young people facing life’s difficulties.

The dedicated team offers short and long-term support, helping to empower individuals to overcome their mental health challenges and take steps towards a more positive way of life. A therapist is available every day Monday to Friday during Term time.

“I wouldn't be where I am today without the help and support you've given me. I know I'm going to be okay." Stowe Pupil
