The Winchester House Stowe Scholarship is a fantastic opportunity for boys and girls in Year 6 of outstanding academic or sporting ability and currently outside the independent school sector, who wish to join Winchester House in Year 7. Those awarded a Winchester House Stowe Scholarship will automatically be guaranteed entry to Winchester House at 11+ (Year 7 entry) and to Stowe School at 13+ (Year 9 entry).
The Scholarships are supported by means-tested bursaries which may cover up to 100% of the fees at both schools. These bursaries will cover the duration of your child’s education at Winchester House School in Years 7 and 8, and at Stowe School in Years 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.
*We are no longer accepting scholarship applications for Year 7 entry in September 2024.

Children who are successful with their application will need to sit the ISEB Pre-Test. This is a requirement for all children applying for a place at an independent senior school and will take place at Winchester House School. You can find out more about the ISEB Pre-Test here.
The Stowe Group Governing Body is committed to broadening access to Winchester House by offering to eligible parents/guardians means-tested financial support with the payment of schools fees. Such bursaries may be awarded in the form of a discount on tuition fees payable, depending on the financial, compassionate or other pertinent circumstances of applicants.
