All Old Stoics with a keen interest in wine are warmly invited to attend a Champagne Tasting hosted by Guy Boursot on Wednesday 19 June, from 6.30pm. The tasting will include six Champagnes and will focus on the sheer variety available. The Champagnes will be accompanied by canapés produced by Zara White (Lyttelton 06), who runs her own catering company called Zara’s KitchenTadopoles Nursery is owned and run by Claire Dimpfl, wife of Charles Dimpfl (Chatham 66).

Guy will discuss the method of production, the nature of the growers and houses, as well as share advice about the global wine market. Guy has wide ranging experience in the wine business in both the UK and in France. He is a wine writer, lecturer, consultant, wine merchant and vineyard tour operator - and building on his solid and trustworthy reputation, he opened his own wine shop in northern France in 2006. Guy’s family has been continuously involved in the champagne business over the last 200 years. The Boursots were responsible for introducing dry champagne (as well as labelled champagne!) to the world market in the mid-19th century.  Full details can be found at www.boursot.com
