WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THAT THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE CURRENT SITUATION SURROUNDING CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19).
All Old Stoics and their families are invited to Stowe on Sunday, 22 March for the OS Sports Festival. There will be a number of Old Stoic Sports Matches taking place against the School and young children can take part in traditional Sports Day races, which will include egg and spoon, wheelbarrow, three-legged and running races on the South Front (or the Drayson Hall if the weather is poor).
The Old Stoic matches will take place at a number of locations across the School from 10.00am onwards. Sports will include Clay Shooting, Cross Country, Hockey, Football, Fives and Lacrosse. Matches will begin at midday.
Lunch will be served in the Marble Hall for all players and guests from 1.00pm onwards, supplying a plentiful selection of sandwiches, cakes and cups of tea.
Clay shooting will take place at the Bursar's Field, from 10am onwards. Twelve shooters from each team to Shoot 50 clays each, in the morning session. An informal lunch will be served in the Marble Hall, a minibus will be available to ferry to and from the Bursar's Field. The afternoon session will be a 100 Bird Flush for 4 Shooters, 3 squads from each side. The aggregate score to count. A person may only shoot once in each competition. Children's games and activities will also be laid on in the State Rooms. If the weather is poor, the OS Sports Day Races will be kept short. Prizes will be awarded to those who take part.
