In 2005 Lord Joffe submitted his Assisted Dying for the Terminally Ill Bill which would legalise physician aid in dying for the terminally ill and modify the 1961 Suicide Act. However, it has not become law and euthanasia remains a criminal offence. A central moral and legal euthanasia issue which the talk will focus on is that of intention.

Running time: 1 hour
