About the event

Arts at Stowe Members Event

Venue: Ugland Auditorium

We can now announce that Lord Dubs has agreed to join us as part of this exceptional evening of performance and music. He will share his memories as one of the 669 Czech-residents, mainly Jewish saved by Sir Nicholas Winton on the Kindertransport. On Meeting Sir Nicholas Winton's on That's Life! in 1988 and learning of his involvement he campaigned for him to be honoured and Winton was eventually knighted in 2002.

Through music, theatre and poetry, students, staff and guests will explore what happens when individuals, families and communities are driven out of, or wrenched from their homes, because of persecution or the threat of genocide.
