Following the success of last year’s production of Ethel Smyth’s The Wreckers, Arcadian Opera is proud to have assembled a first rate cast of soloists, accompanied by the Arcadian
Opera Chorus and Orchestra for their forthcoming production of Gounod’s rarely performed Romeo and Juliet. Set in the wild and dangerous times of fifteenth century Italy, when gang
warfare was a fact of life. Arcadian Opera’s Romeo and Juliet brings us a mesmerising production of the age old  Italian story that Shakespeare made so famous, with the exquisite music of Gounod.
Under the baton of Music Director  Justin Lavender, this production is bound to move and thrill audiences of all ages and form a lasting impression of the beauty of this wonderful opera.
