Job Overview

We teach the future, nurture ambition, grow potential and change the world one pupil at a time.

                                                          We are Winchester House

Winchester House is a high-achieving school with much to celebrate and be proud of.  We are a prep school that lives and breathes our vision. The daily reality at Winchester House is that each pupil is individually known, nurtured, respected, and celebrated in a context of community, fun, ambition, and tradition, and this is something that remains central to who we are.  It is also something that staff witness every day in school and what gives us the greatest fulfilment and joy.  Children grow best when they are interested, trusted, challenged, and having fun as part of a community that has high expectations of them, which is part of daily life for a Housian.

As a member of the Stowe Group of Schools, we are Change Makers.  As such within our community and underpinned by our Winchester House Way, we have a sense of challenge and responsibility to ourselves and others.  We are a school with high standards of traditional values and compassion, leadership, competition, and resilience which we value as much as we do examination grades.  As such we aim to enable every pupil to benefit from a rounded education that will prepare them thoroughly for their next school and life beyond.  Pupils grow their potential through the Winchester House Way and Winchester House Learners programmes under The Stowe Group Changemaker banner.

Offers of employment are made subject to receipt of satisfactory references and DBS clearance

The School reserves the right to withdraw the advert before the closing date.

We are looking for an educational leader who will bring enthusiasm and joy to their department, ensuring that their staff are valued and motivated and that pupils achieve their potential whilst nurturing those who aspire to excel in music. They will lead a well established department with an experienced, collaborative and valued part-time class music teaching colleague and a wide and loyal peripatetic teaching team. Beyond the department, we are looking for an individual who is “whole-school”, inspiring Housians to be true Change Makers.
