Crispin Robinson — fondly known as ‘Robbo’ — inspired generations of Stoics through his passion for teaching, his kindness, and his unwavering belief in his pupils. The Robbo Bursary Fund (RBF) has been created to honour that legacy and to give talented, deserving children the life-changing opportunity of a Stowe education — an experience Robbo knew could transform lives.
Endowed in perpetuity, the RBF will ensure that Robbo’s spirit of encouragement and curiosity lives on for generations to come. Reflecting his own love of creativity, the Fund will, wherever possible, support pupils with a flair for Art or a keen interest in the History of Art.
All contributions to the Robbo Bursary Fund are held within the Stowe School Foundation (a UK-registered charity) and ringfenced under the care of its Trustees.
The Fund is managed separately from all other Foundation assets.
Only the annual income is used to provide bursaries, ensuring the capital remains intact and the Fund continues to support future generations.
Whether a pupil needs full support through the Change 100 programme or partial assistance, every bursary will open the door to opportunity — enabling a child to come to, or remain at, Stowe and thrive in the environment Robbo loved so deeply.
Donors will be kept informed about the pupils whose lives are directly changed by the Fund, ensuring that Robbo’s influence continues to be felt through the success and happiness of future Stoics.
