Tom Sherrington

Biography 

Tom Sherrington is the Director of Teaching Walkthrus and an author. He writes the popular blog teacherhead.com and his books include The Learning Rainforest and best-seller Rosenshine’s Principles in Action. Most recently he co-authored the popular Teaching WalkThrus series with Oliver Caviglioli, reaching 50 countries worldwide. With 30 years' experience as a teacher and school leader, Tom is in demand from schools around the world to deliver PD for teachers and leadership teams through WalkThrus. He is a regular keynote speaker and contributor to conferences and education festivals.

Emma Turner

Biography

Emma Turner has served in primary education for 28 years. Alongside teaching, headship and leadership, she has been a consultant for the national strategies; trust research and CPD lead across 15 Leicestershire primary schools; and deputy director of education for a West Midlands trust across 18 primary schools. She currently provides independent consultancy and training for schools, authorities and trusts worldwide.

Emma has written six previous bestselling books on education focusing on curriculum, cognitive science and education leadership. She co-hosts the popular international education Podcast “Mind the Gap” with Tom Sherrington and regularly guest lectures at national and international events focusing on leadership, staff development, flexible working, cognitive science, research informed practice and curriculum design.

Emma is an experienced advisor, educational trainer and provides CPD, INSET and advisory support both nationally and internationally.

Emma is also a Co-chair of governors in a local Leicestershire primary school; Department for Education specialist advisory board member; advisory board member for the global equality collective. and Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching.

Jonnie Noakes

Biography

Jonnie Noakes is Director of CIRL at Eton, a centre for pedagogical excellence, evidence-informed practice and research into teaching, learning and leadership in education. He is an expert in character education.

As an English teacher, he has led two departments concurrently at Eton and at the London Academy of Excellence. He has been a governor or trustee of a number of state and independent schools. He is a director of the education charity Neuroscience for Education, an editorial board member of the Chartered College of Teaching’s journal Impact, and a Council member of the Varkey Foundations new Global Schools Prize.

Dr Jonathan Leeder

Biography

Dr Jonathan Leeder has worked in high performance sport for the last 5 Olympic and Paralympic Games in a range of roles.

Most notable roles have included
1) The lead physiologist for British Cycling during the London 2012 Olympics
2) Working in research and innovation to drive marginal gains across a portfolio of Olympic and Pro sports
3) Recovery strategy consultancy to the FA and RFU for respective World Cup campaigns.

Jonathan is currently Head of Performance Delivery at UK Sport, the government agency responsible for investing in Olympic and Paralympic sport, utilising National Lottery and government money to drive a decade of extraordinary sporting moments, with the aim to reach, inspire and unite the nation.

Andy Hobbs

Biography

Andy Hobbs is a British Psychological Society accredited Performance Psychologist and an accredited Leadership Coach with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.

With over 20 years of experience in Sport Development, Andy has played a pivotal role in supporting leaders and organisations to excel in both sporting and corporate settings. He spent a decade as a Senior Manager at the International Cricket Council, where he was instrumental in expanding cricket into non-traditional markets.

In addition, Andy is the co-founder of Cricket Without Boundaries, a charity that has engaged more than 600,000 young people worldwide, harnessing cricket as a tool for social development.
