West House Calendar

The West motto this year has been “if opportunity doesn’t come knocking, build a door”. The concept behind this aphorism is that West Stoics are encouraged to go out and create an opportunity for themselves, instead of waiting for the world to come to them. It was in this spirit that the Heads of House decided on a unique charity fundraising project - to produce and market a high-quality calendar of the Stowe landscape gardens that will appeal to a whole School marketplace. The outstanding product of this initiative will be available to buy at Speech Day and other Stowe Parents’ events for £5 per calendar, with the proceeds being donated to our House charity, Help for Heroes.

Co-ordinated and modelled by the West Stoics, the final calendar is a testament to the artistic and creative talents of our Sixth Form. The beauty of our surroundings at Stowe should not be taken for granted, and the West team would recommend this calendar to everyone in our community as a picturesque yet highly useful item to remind us all of the incredible heritage of the School site.
