Tethera

Monty Lewis (Bruce 09) has developed a bag company called Tethera and designed a bag which can be worn three ways – as a backpack, satchel and cycle bag. It is both functional and practical, making it suitable for rural and urban adventures. The bag will be made in Britain by expert craftspeople using Scottish waxed canvas, Italian leather, aluminium harness buckles and AquaGuard Zips. The name Tethera is ancient Cumbrian for three. Farmers in Cumbria count their sheep yan, tan, tethera. The bag has been inspired and designed in Cumbria, and can be worn tethera ways, so the name is very apt!

Monty has launched his company on Kickstarter and has 25 days to drum up as much support as possible, so he can go into production. Please click here to find out more and support Monty’s company: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1077301387/tethera-backpack-satchel-and-cycle-bag

Monty is fascinated by manufacturing and wants to create innovative and treasured products which support skilled craftsmanship in Britain.
