Stoic Clinches Top Honours in Wildlife Photography Competition

22 December 2023

We are thrilled to announce that our talented pupil Anton Poon (Fifth Form, Croft) has achieved remarkable success in the annual Wildlife Photography Competition for 2023. Not only did Anton win the 'Teen' category, but he also earned the title of Runner-Up within the same division - a feat that showcases his exceptional skill and creativity behind the lens.

Anton's photograph, titled ‘Coreus Marginatus’ captured the judges' attention with its stunning composition and attention to detail, effortlessly securing first place. His runner-up photograph was equally captivating and showcased his remarkable aptitude for capturing the natural world. The judges were astounded by the quality and finesse of both entries, making Anton a standout competitor in the field.

The achievement comes with more than just accolades; Anton has won a set of nature books as part of his prize. What makes this win even more special is that these books will be added to our School Library, enhancing our collection for all pupils to benefit from. We are looking forward to incorporating them into our Library soon. The addition of these not only expands the existing selection but also serves as an inspiration for aspiring photographers and nature enthusiasts alike within our School community.

We extend our heartiest congratulations to Anton for his spectacular achievements. His passion for photography and nature shines through his work. We are incredibly proud of him and his achievements. We also want to thank the organisers of the annual Wildlife Photography Competition for creating such a wonderful platform for young talent to be recognised and celebrated.
