Shackleton by Mark Richards (Walpole 76)

OS Sculptor, Mark Richards (Walpole 76) was commissioned to produce a sculpture of Ernest Shackleton, to mark 100 years to the day that Shackleton rescued his men from Elephant Island. His statue was unveiled in Athy, Co Kildare, near to where Shackleton was born.

The Museum in Athy has some bronze maquettes for sale.
