Royal Sunday Races for Stowe

Thirty members of the the Old Stoic Racing Club were treated to a superb lunch and afternoon of racing in a private box at Sandown at the weekend. It proved an excellent way for members to meet one another at the beginning of season.

Royal Sunday looked very well and relaxed before the race. He set off in the front pair and jumped well until the final two hurdles where he tired quickly and was wisely pulled by Harry Bannister (OS). No reason has come to light yet but this is certainly not his true running.

Still, it is onwards and upwards as our other Stowe horse, Topper Thornton, is being primed for his debut either this Saturday at Uttoxeter or next week at Chepstow.
