OSGS September Update

4 September 2017

Here is the latest OSGS update with details of what is scheduled for September to November including the Autumn Meeting at Brancaster. A special welcome to the 2017 School Leavers who are receiving an OSGS Update for the first time.
Remember there are 50% discounts on green fee costs at all matches and meetings for under 30s.
 
Match v Old Gregorians at New Zealand: 2 September - Won 5-3
While Match Manager, William Waddell-Dudley, was away in Italy his team had a clear win last Saturday. Haydn Brooks and Martyn Palmer were two under in the morning for a resounding point while John Rowe won morning and afternoon and Josh Wheeler scored 1.5 points. 
 
Match v The School at Stowe: 16 September, approx. 1.30pm
This is an extra match against the School arranged to help establish links with the new golf team and will be part of the wider Old Stoic Day. Paul McSweeney, Julian Stocks, Chris Atkinson, Andrew Clarke, Lorne Williamson, Olly Clark (2017 leaver) and the Secretary are already in the team but we can fit more. If you would like to play email me at pjgsimmons@gmail.com
 
Match v The School at Stoke Park: 4 October
This match is played courtesy of Chester King of Stoke Park with a 2pm start and fourball format. Captain Nick Luddington, Paul McSweeney, William Waddell-Dudley, John Rowe and Roddy Blackburne are playing but there is room for one younger Old Stoic.Contact me on pjgsimmons@gmail.com if you want to play.
 
AUTUMN MEETING AT BRANCASTER: 21 & 22 October
A superb meeting held at an iconic golf course. Several Old Stoics are members which allows us to keep the cost down. The weekend includes competition for the prestigious Lucas Langley foursomes Salvers as well as a singles (Scratch & Stableford) round on Saturday afternoon.

Attached is the entry form for the meeting. So far Charlie Consett, Angus Campbell, Lorne Williamson, Don Jeffreys, Nick & Chris Luddington, Neil Gray, Tim Maynard, David Ewbank, Paul McSweeney and the Secretary are entered. There are several more thinking about it with up to 6 places still available.
