Despite the continuing dreadful weather our season is now well under way and here are the latest results and details of the golfing opportunities available over the next few months.

Our Society is for players of all handicaps, male and female, and if you have any queries about fixtures do not hesitate to contact me.
Remember all under 30s receive a 50% discount on the green fee costs.

RESULTS:

The Micklem Trophy: Woking 14 & 15 March
.... to continue the report from the March Update - The School team beat Charterhouse 3-2 in the Semi Finals but lost narrowly to Wellington 2-3.
For a full report from Andrew Hancox follow this link  https://www.stowe.co.uk/school/news/latest-news/the-2018-gerald-micklem-trophy
A fantastic effort from the Stowe team which bodes well for recruitment to the OSGS.

17-18 March: Birkdale Bucket Northern Schools event at Woodhall Spa
With a team of just two, Joshua Wheeler and me, the Old Stoics won the Wooden Spoon again despite the event being abandoned due to snow after 9 holes. With all the other teams having a minimum of five players from which to select their best 4 scores it was a certainty. We need to review how we approach this event as we cannot continue without a minimum of four players.
