OSGS May Newsletter

1 May 2019

Golf1

The OSGS is for all Old Stoic golfers, male and female, of all standards. We are keen for younger Old Stoics to take part and U30 discounts apply at all fixtures.

Our season has started with mixed results but there are lots more fixtures in May, June and July for which full details are listed below.

Don't wait to be asked to play just contact the Match/Meeting Manager or me.

Pass this email onto any other Old Stoic golfers who you think would be interested in taking part in our growing number of fixtures.

RESULTS:

11-14th April, Halford Hewitt at Royal St Georges and Deal:

A disappointing few days with a first round loss 1-4 to Eton (Haydn Brooks and Peter Hale had a good win as first pair) and then a very close defeat to Merchant Taylors in the Plate at Princes with two of the three matches going down the 19th. There were some positives with a good debut for James Nash and useful discussions on how to encourage some younger players to get involved. Plans are now in hand!
