Friday 10 March:
Soup and sandwiches served from 11.30 am
Tee times from 12.30 pm
This year with growing numbers we are going to eat in the Club Dinning room  - I will lay on some suitable Formby Entertainment ! There is a possibility that some Northern Old Stoics who don’t play golf will join us for Dinner, I am working on this.
Accommodation in the Dormy House

Saturday 11 March:
Tee times on the ladies course are booked from 9.30am followed by sandwiches and soup with good byes around 1.30 pm – a few have asked to play Sunday too , I can try and fix something up if those who are interested can let me know.

Contact James as soon as possible if you want to attend this excellent meeting.

Birkdale Bucket at Woodhall Spa: 18 & 19 March
The Birkdale Bucket, for which 8 Northern schools compete, provides an opportunity to play one of the great English courses. We need a minimum of four players and the more we have of all handicap levels the better our chances - so far we have two probables. Details of this meeting are attached including the entry form. As with other team events the Society will fund the green fee cost for the two rounds (£90). If you want to play complete the entry form and send it to Charles Webb – also tell me you have entered so I can arrange to refund you the golf cost at the event.

Halford Hewitt 6 April
The Old Stoics have drawn Aldenham in the first round and tee off at 8.20am at St Georges on Thursday 6th April.
Haydn Brooks and his team would welcome all support.

Spring Meeting at Woking: 29 April
Advance warning of the Spring Meeting for which more information will be sent in the March Update. Over 20 members attended last year with handicaps from 5 to 25. I know some members have already been in contact with our Captain, Nick Luddington, who manages this meeting so email him on nick.parkers@btconnect.com  if you want to play.
The Boodles Dinner on Friday 28 April is the ideal preparation for the Spring Meeting and further details will be circulated next month from Angus Campbell ajmcampbell@gmail.com
