OS Corkscrew: Chocolate and Wine Pairing

On Wednesday, 16 May, Over 30 Old Stoics made their way to The Crabtree Pub in Fulham for our second tasting of the year, led by Chris Scott from Thirtyfifty, featuring an assortment of wines paired with various chocolates.

It certainly proved to be a tasting with a difference and it was a huge crowd pleaser. Chris arranged a variety of wines and Rococco chocolates  and our guests were invited to to try different wines with selected chocolates, learning how to bring out bitter or sweet tastes by clever pairing of the wine with selected chocolate. From a delicious red wine and dark chocolate to a glorious dessert wine accompanied with an intense dark orange chocolate, there were enough to satisfy all palates. Our hosts were very engaging which meant the evening was an hour longer than originally planned, much to the delight of our guests.
