Old Stoic to play for Essex County Cricket Club

Old Stoic, Liam Gough (Grafton 11), has signed a one year contract with Essex County Cricket Club for the 2015 season. After leaving Stowe at the end of the Fifth Form Liam spent three years playing for MCC Young Cricketers, Essex noticed his performances and invited him to play some 2nd XI matches. After putting in some good performances the county decided to make an offer. Liam is one of five former Stowe pupils to have signed a professional contract in the past eight years. We wish him all the best of luck for the coming season.
