Henry Macpherson (Cobham 13) has become the first Briton to reach the North Pole on foot this year, after trekking with his father and brother from Barneo. They reached the North Pole at 6.03m local time (BST+1) on 16 April 2016. They are raising money for The Household Cavalry Foundation and are well on the way to reaching their target.

More details about this fantastic achievement will be accounted in the next edition of The Corinthian, when Henry will recall the journey for Old Stoics to enjoy.

A huge well done from all at Stowe and the Old Stoic Society to Henry and his family for reaching the North Pole and we hope you have a safe journey back again.
