Old Stoic Day 2025: A Joyous Return to Stowe

Last Saturday 20 September, Stowe welcomed back 180 Old Stoics of all ages for a heart-warming day of reconnection, celebration, and nostalgia. The event brought together generations of alumni who returned to reminisce with old friends and relive cherished memories in the stunning surroundings of the Stowe.

Guests began the day with guided historical tours of the State Rooms, offering fresh insights into the rich heritage of the house and grounds. On the North Front, Stowe secured a thrilling win in rugby, cheered on by a lively crowd. Meanwhile, the South Front hosted a spirited lacrosse match where the Old Stoics triumphed over the current Stoics in a friendly but competitive game.

Lunch was served in the grand State Dining Room, where laughter and stories flowed freely over a delicious meal. The afternoon continued with garden tours and visits to the school’s impressive new facilities, showcasing the exciting developments on campus. The day concluded with a spectacular afternoon tea, enjoyed in true Stowe style.

It was a truly special occasion that celebrated the enduring bond between Stowe and its alumni. We look forward to welcoming even more Old Stoics back next year!
