Mike is doctor to team GB Women's and Men's hockey teams and has just travelled with them to the Rio 2016 Olympics. He can be seen on the back row of the photograph, 5th from the left, receiving gold medals with the GB Women’s Hockey team.

Mike was prop in the rugby XV in 1983 and 1984 and still seems to know how to pack down with the best writes brothers James (Cobham 85), Bill (Cobham 83) and Nigel (Cobham 81). Anyone needing sports related injury osteo/muscular-skeletal advice can see Mike and Nigel at their clinic at Basingstoke hospital. “Keep an eye out for Mike at Twickenham - he is the stocky one who still can't flex his knees bending down (socks round ankles in true Stoic style) to check on an international when running onto the pitch as match doctor,” James writes.

Mike's speciality in treating injuries seems to have been well honed from years of breaks and strains endured in house and school matches at Stowe and beyond.
