Careers in Financial Markets

On Tuesday 15 November at 5.40pm we are welcoming Will Bathurst (Walpole 97), who works for the Peninsula Petroleum Group, to Stowe to give a careers presentation in the Library for anyone interested in hearing about a career in the financial markets.

Will has been in the oil and shipping markets for ten years and is currently Global Head of Analysis for the Peninsula Petroleum Group, one of the world's largest suppliers of Ship Fuels. Prior to joining Peninsula, Will worked at shipbrokers Simpson, Spence and Young (SSY) initially joining the London team in August 2010 before moving to look after Asian clients from the company's Singapore office in April 2011. He lived in Singapore for four years. Prior to this, he was Global Managing Editor of Platts' Marine Alert having initially joined on the petrochemical desk in 2006. He studied for a PhD in European Political Economics at the University of Bath, UK and also holds degrees from the University of Reading, UK and L'Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Lyon, France.
