I was born in North London but have spent most of my life in the USA. I am very lucky to be able to call San Francisco my home when I am not at Stowe. It is where all of my children live, and so part of my heart will always remain there.
My greatest passions are of course my children, but I also love reading, writing, and traveling. I will go anywhere in the world at the drop of a hat, and so far I have managed to live in, and visit, many of this world's beautiful countries, and have met some amazing people along the way. I hope that I can continue my adventures as much as possible in the future.
I was educated through grade school in a private school in the UK, and earned my Undergraduate Degree, a BA in English Literature, from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, graduating Summa Cum Laude. I also hold a TEFL certification, and am a member of Alpha Chi Scholastic Honor Society. I am taking my Masters Degree in English Language Learning, and hope to finish in the summer of 2014.
I have a long history of diverse activities that include banking, artist management, stage and theatrical production, music critiquing for a Jazz Magazine, and writing, directing, and producing, my own stage show, “What is This Thing called Jazz?” I have also owned my own recording company and, at one time, an industrial welding and fabrication company too.
Most of my life I have worked with children and young adults in some capacity. I have raised my own biological children along with several step children. I was the director of a large Child Care Facility in Arizona, the manager of a local swim team, and taught English Language Learners for nine years, before coming to Stowe to be a Matron, which I am happy to say I am enjoying immensely.
