Mr Simon Creedy Smith

After leaving Stowe in 1977 and graduating from Reading University with a degree in Politics, Simon joined Deloitte in 1980 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983. He retired from Deloitte in 2009, having been a partner for more than 20 years. His work involved UK and international acquisitions, disposals and capital market transactions and his clients included UK and overseas corporates, private equity investors and Government Departments. Simon has subsequently advised a number of private companies on business disposals and has also served as non-executive director of a software company listed on the London Stock Exchange and on NASDQ. He has been a Governor since 2005 and , having served as Chairman of the Finance Committee, was elected Chairman of Governors in 2016. He is also a Governor at Downe House.
