Life before Stowe 

I have a degree in Linguistics and Literature from Turkey, followed by a Masters in Linguistics from Liverpool. My teaching career has spanned a variety of schools and language courses, allowing me to work with a diverse group of pupils. 

What do you enjoy most about your subject? 

I find it fascinating how language connects people and cultures. 

What do you enjoy most about Stowe? 

I love the historic House and the natural beauty of the gardens. I also admire the sense of community 

What is your favourite Lesson? 

I particularly enjoy teaching grammar. It is rewarding to see how, after developing a solid understanding of the rules and structures of the language, the pupils become creative in their use of the language. 

What do others say about you? 

I hope that my pupils and colleagues see me as an enthusiastic and approachable teacher. 

Other hats 

I have a second degree in Business Administration. I have also worked as an education counsellor and translator. 

Passions 

I like to travel and see new places and meet new cultures, even learn new languages. I also like to read books and keep active by swimming.
