Life before Stowe

Having worked for many years in Advertising and Marketing, I changed careers in midlife and moved into School Libraries. I was at Tiffin School in Kingston for 13 years; following a house move I then went to Dr Challoner’s High School in Amersham.

I have been a consultant to the World Bank for whom I have written a book, training programmes, been a trainer and a guest speaker both in the UK and abroad on school libraries, how to build, design and how to run them.

What do you enjoy most about your subject?

Reading and Education are the key to life changing opportunities for everyone.

What do you enjoy most about Stowe?

Seeing the pupils throw themselves into new things without much concern about what others think, and with a sense of fun. The beautiful surroundings, the view from the Library is arguably the best in the country.

What is your favourite Lesson?

Any research project or lesson.

What do others say about you?

Resourceful; willing to give anything a try; loyal and supportive; a sense of fun and a bit of a geek with ICT.
