My career began at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London where I trained as a Registered Nurse and I went on to work in several central London hospitals before moving overseas for a number of years (Spain, The Netherlands and Chile). During this time, I started a family and worked in various voluntary roles, including managing a charity fund that focused on women and children's health and education. I arrived at Stowe in the Summer of 2005 and despite assuring myself that it was to be for a short duration, I fell under the spell that is Stowe and the Stoics, and that has never faded.

During my time at Stowe time, I have fulfilled a number of roles including Head of Exams, Head of Academic Administration, and Head of PSHE, tutoring in both boys and girls boarding houses and taking on the role of Assistant Houseparent in two girls houses. My three children all attended Stowe, and so between us have built allegiances to five of its now sixteen houses.

In the role of Head of PSHE, I have the opportunity to utilise my academic degrees, and also my nursing experience to tackle its incredibly broad curriculum. Imparting information but also being provided with the opportunity to listen to, and be trusted by Stoics speaking about the challenges they face in today's world, particularly with the advancement and pervasiveness of smart phones and online technology, is not only a privilege but an opportunity to appreciate the importance of a strong pastoral programme. I joined the Safeguarding team in 2024 and took on the Lead role in September 2025.

I firmly believe that a young person who feels safe, understood and heard will flourish - be it in the classroom, the auditorium, or sports arena. Stowe has always prided itself in recognising the individual and much of that comes from providing safe environments where Stoics feel able to express themselves freely, explore new experiences, develop an emerging talent and trust that Staff will be there to support them along their journey, including and most importantly, when things don’t go quite to plan and life gets in the way.

My vision is to strengthen the links between the Academic and Pastoral teams so that there is a holistic, amalgamated and seamless approach to each Stoic’s individual experience, a journey that reflects our Change Maker Values and recognises the unique qualities of our diverse and united community that is Stowe.
