Life before Stowe

Before Stowe, I studied Physical Education at Leeds Metropolitan University in 2007 graduating in 2010. From there I moved onto Stonyhurst College, Clitheroe as a Graduate Sports Assistant coaching netball, hockey and teaching Sports Science.  During my time at Stonyhurst, I qualified as a Teacher of Physical Education whilst living in as Assistant Housemisstress to the Girls’ Sixth Form Boarding House. Following this, I worked at a local state school leading the girls’ PE Department across a wide curriculum and even taught some Mathematics!

Netball has always been a huge passion of mine – playing, coaching and officiating. I qualified as an umpire at the age of 14 and as a Level 2 Coach aged 20. I attempted a short move to basketball – playing at National League level but soon went back!

What do you enjoy most about your subject?

I enjoy teaching and coaching pupils who dedicate themselves to trying their best and remain focused on being the best they can be whist having fun and enjoying the games.

What do you enjoy most about Stowe?

I enjoy the opportunity to walk around the beautiful surroundings and gardens that Stowe has to offer with my dog Figgy and the committed pupils who juggle multiple commitments to keep up their sports, music and academic performances.

Other hats

I also coach North Bucks County Academy Netball as well as building a local club team in Towcester – Towcester Tournadoes - for local ladies and girls.

Netball... But I am also a big Southampton FC fan and go to as many games as I can.
