Kirsten joined Stowe in September 2010 as Head of PSHE and is also Chair of the Faculty of Arts and Culture. Previously Under Housemistress in Queen's, Kirsten joined Walpole House in 2011 as a non resident Tutor of the Lower School. Kirsten graduated from Kent University with a degree in Sociology and Social Anthropology; coming from a family of teachers a PGCE soon followed as well as further study at the Institute of Education, University of London in Psychology and the Sociology of Education. After six years on the Sussex coast, Kirsten established the Religious Studies and PSHE department at Harrow School, Bangkok in 2003, followed by a move in 2007 to Hong Kong to join South Island School as Faculty Chair for PSHE, Learning to Learn and IB Service Learning. Her hobbies include travelling, live music and cultural events whilst exploring the outdoors by pedal, ski or foot.
